Cascading Style Sheets were first proposed in 1994 by the Håkon Lie, who is a leading figure in the W3C international Web standards organization. He also happens to be the Chief Technical Officer for Opera Software in Norway, producers of the new Opera Web browser — which until very recently was far ahead of the other browsers in compliance with the W3C’s standards. Style sheets are far more versatile than standard HTML tags, and it’s well worth the time taken to learn how to implement them. Here are some good info sites:
